Exquisite beats, loops and sound fx from some of Ibadan’s biggest releases.
This EP isn’t about just making “DJ friendly” tool-House remixes. It is about giving the DJ’s who push the limits more to work with. It’s like that short stubby screwdriver, or that little piece of extra pipe that can make the difference between a job and a job well done.
For all those DJ’s whose run-of-the-mill Techno roller or bland House track needed a bit more pizzaz, Jerome has provided a beat less version of his and Mikael Nordgren’s (A.K.A. Tiger Stripes), ‘Stockholm - Go Bang!’. A beautiful string and shaker workout guaranteed to add flavor to any mix.
32 Project’s, ‘Rule Of Humanity’ sees a mild edit that loses none of its tender atmospherics and fluidly moving beats. Just a little bit more juice squeezed out of the mix to sizzle your tongue and perk up your ears.
What would a tools compilation be like if the beat master himself, Kerri Chandler, were not in on all the fun. His signature beats, crispy drums and mega tight groove, get applied to Bas Noir’s, “Shoe-B-Doo”.
Coming full circle, Jerome and Mikael let you in on the other half of, ‘Stockholm – Go Bang!’ with the part of the track that goes, well, “Bang!”
A crafty little selection of some killer cuts to push any DJ set to the limit, the old fashioned way.
