A definite departure from the recent Ibadan releases ('Sandcastles', '10 Jay Street') with Slam Mode dishing up some bright techno-flavored house 'Usoni' features a throbbing bassline underpinning some bright synth keys, while more synth line swirl around in the background in a very atmospheric way. A very driving groove is the main ingredient here, with 'Usoni' almost coming across like a Millis-ian/UR house track, with it's lush approach and dancefloor sensibilities. As with all Ibadan releases, NOT to be missed.

Jerome calls on NYC Techno outfit Slam Mode once again for another blend of euphoric Deep Techno.
Angel Rodriguez and Michael Cole have been behind so many of the deeper sounding Techno records to come out of what Americans call the Tri-State Area. Their smooth approach to tackling one of the harder genres of dance music has gained them praise for their attention to detail and mature production techniques.
‘Usoni’ is the perfect addition to the TIB (Ten Inch Beats) series, as it veers a tad away from the typical Ibadan sound. A ten minute long track that could have easily found its way into the soundtrack of Blade Runner. Proper melodies and developing sounds make this more than your average club tool. ‘Usoni’, is the epitome of a true electronic symphony.
