Dennis Ferrer debuts his Son Of Raw alias on Jerome Sydenham’s equally as uninhibited label, UK Promotions.
No one is quite sure why Ferrer broke out the Son Of Raw alias for this particular release. It certainly is a track that many would not mind having their birth name behind, so why the change of name? Perhaps an unusual work-flow was used to conjure up the track? Maybe it was made with some new piece of audio gear? We may never know the reason why, but we most certainly won’t forget who is the Son Of Raw.
‘A Drumstick and Light Fixture’, could be a technique for removing burst light bulbs from sockets. In this case however, it is only relevant to the sounds of rapidly clanging cow bells over jittering House breaks, filled in with equally as restless synth stabs.
A prototypical jacking hybrid of old-school House and Detroit Techno modernized by the one man who can, Dennis Ferrer.
