Dude made the most beautiful house music you ever heard for a minute. It was New York’s peak moment for both house and rap (Native Tongues era) and at that time it was cool to listen to both. I used to love hearing his track “The Poem” at Choice (which was a little box of an after-hours party back in the day). Then suddenly Konders must have fell and bumped his head -he abandoned house for dancehall reggae and for a gig with the Dark Star and Great Destroyer of all Musical Creativity, Hot97. Even so, Konders’ dancehall show is really good, so long as you’re into siren blasts and the like.
