Johanna Saint Pierre begins playing classical music at six years old in the city where she grow up Paris . In search of more freedom, she started playing piano in various Jazz clubs. At the age of 20, she bases a group of girls and played, pop funky music.
In 1995 she was asked to play keyboard and sing as a back singer for the rock group " Laplace" they appeared in first part of " Simples Minds tour ", as well for the concert of "Rolling Stones" at the "Olympia" in Paris. They sign for "La Bande Son" the "Canal +" label , make an album with Kirk Yano and are sponsored by " Pepsi ". In 1998 Johanna auto-produced with her new jazz band " Breakfirst Quartet " a jazz standard’s CD. Nevertheless, Musical interpretation is not enough for Johanna any more, she decides to concentrate herself on composition and as the same time she gets her musicology diploma from the university in Paris La " Sorbonne ". Also, She signs two soundtracks of the David Barrouk shorts movies which are diffused on "Canal +".
In 2000, Johanna is attracted by electronic music and auto-produced her first maxi vinyl with Marc Ricci , DJ resident at the " Hôtel Costes " in Paris. Johanna and Marc Ricci remixed her songs, that she writes and composes," Electronic Superstar " as well as " Queen of the Vampires " in a deep house style. This vinyl is today distributed by " Discograph " .
In 2001 Patrick Vidal has selected " Electronic Superstar " for the compilation "Yepparty.com " who regroups international artists considered in House Music, ( Ann Nesby , Blaze , Miss Honey Dijon , Sutra François Kevorkian ). Mostly " Electronic Superstar " is an instrumental song with a sensual discreet hypnotic voice that interferes gradually in the piece supported by the piano.
In 2002, " Conversation" , produced by Marc Ricci, comes out on the compilation " Private Lounge 4 " , which is distributed around the world, as well as " Superman " produced by " Sismic Music " , a young house music label of french producers, on the compilation " Asian 2 " . Patrick Vidal create his own electronic music label " No record " and release the first vinyl " 03 Mai " featuring Johanna Saint-Pierre . The sound is very surprising and looks like an electro romantic style. In Paris , at the same time, Johanna meets the painter , videaste, Judith Darmont, who chooses " Electronic Superstar " to illustrate an art video for an event in Berlin for the new perfume of " Lancaster ".
In 2003, Judith and Johanna present a show, for the first time at the " Festival Onze " in Paris, The electro pop picture show who mix music an picture in live. As the same time " Ibadan " , a label in New-York which specialty is dance music, releases the vinyl " L’âme éternelle " for the summer. This french song and the remixes are the result of the new collaboration between Johanna and Jephté Guillaume, an house music producer based on New-York.
In 2004 Johanna composes the electro acoustic music for the new company of theatre “Accent” (group of European theatre). The music are on the pieces of harold Pinter (“ Lanscape ”) and nathalie Sarraute (“ Elle est là ”). Four representations were at the "ADC theatre of Cambridge" and in Paris to the “Espace Reuilly”.
Actualy Johanna is on a french pop electro solo album project. Some sweet melody are mixed between some electronic sounds and acoustics instruments. Johanna’s universe is in a poetic supernatural populated with heros who comes from romantic and strange fairy tale between Tim Burton, Brian de Palma, Polnareff and Gainsbourg.
