Shauna Slevin grew up between the UK and Ireland. It was there that she first encountered the house music scene with the dance explosion in the UK in the late 80’s. After obtaining a masters degree in Culture and Media Studies, she relocated to the US where she worked as a music video production assistant with such large scale artists as Beck, Cypress Hill and Mary J Blige. In 1995 she secured a job in the A&R dept. at Warner Bros. Records where she worked for 5 years. There she was part of an A&R team that worked on artists as varied as kd lang, Paula Cole, Jane’s Addiction, Primal Scream and Moloko. She has run, the deep house imprint, Ibadan Records out of New York City with label owner Jerome Sydenham. Her creative and business contribution to the label has helped establish Ibadan as one of the leaders in the field of deep house. She now manages the Dennis Ferrer’s record label Objektivity.

Inspired by the open-minded music policy of legendary New York party, Body And Soul, she started her Djing career started in 1997. Since then she was generally considered to be one of the top female DJ’s in New York and has secured two residencies in New York with the N’Ice crew and Super Sound System. She also held a residency in San Francisco at Atmosfere. Her DJ sets have been heard alongside those of Kerri Chandler, Jerome Sydenham, DJ’s Iz and Diz, Idjut Boys, Maurice Fulton, Dennis Ferrer and The Wicked Crew, to name a few. She has played internationally in the UK, France and Ireland.
